Folding Bike Hire Newham.

It was a busy weekend of viewings and I was struck by the number of viewers arriving on bikes.  Two parties arrived on folding Brompton Bikes and informed me they can be hired.  Sonething I had to check out.

The number of folding bikes available for hire across Newham has been expanded to meet increasing demand from people wanting to cycle in the borough.

The expansion creates a network of 7 Brompton Bike Hire docks conveniently located next to rail facilities, making it easier for people to re-think the way they travel.

Last year, Newham Council opened Brompton bike hire docks next to The Crystal building close to the Royal Victoria Dock (DLR) station and the Emirates Airlines cable car.

Locations are Royal Albert DLR station, Manor Park Elizabeth Line station, Maryland Elizabeth Line station, Forest Gate Elizabeth Line station, and a 16-bike hire dock was previously opened in Stratford.

The latest dock at the Newham University College Hospital in Plaistow opened this month. The Brompton Hire facility is part of a broader cycle hub planned at the site.

Hire charges begin at £3.50 for a 24hr hire. Compared to the lowest price of a Zone 3 travelcard at £8.20, the cost of a day’s hire is significantly less than using public transport.
